We proudly provide engineering project management services for our clients in the electric utility industry with a focus on transmission and distribution systems, which include system planning, engineering and design. Our philosophy emphasizes reporting on the needs of the project stakeholders. We offer full-service management including scheduling, cost estimates, financial tracking, and construction oversite. We draw from our vast experience in preparing reports, identifying trends and acting to meet milestone dates and project goals. Our project history ranges from large 500-kV projects to small 60-kV projects of varying complexity. We take pride in providing project management services to mesh with the client’s established reporting practices.
Transmission & Distribution

Substation
Our team has decades of experience in the design of substations at voltages ranging from 4-kV to 230-kV. We have completed both greenfield and brownfield projects that included the preparation of civil and electrical designs needed for the design of foundation, steel structures, electrical bus, circuit breakers, and other equipment. Our designs have included single-line and three-line diagrams; circuit breaker control schematics, block diagrams, conduit schedules, circuit and wiring diagrams, and control building design. Our team is expert in providing relaying and protection services that include relay selection, relay settings, and fuse coordination. We have incorporated communications requirements for system protection and security using line carrier, microwave, and pilot wire technologies. The use of fiber optics is the medium of choice for new projects and in many instances for project upgrades.

Douglas Proctor has several years of experience as an expert witness in the engineering field. His services include research, deposition, and testimony at trial.
Renewables
Our experience includes wind and PV solar renewable projects, with an increasing role in the development of energy storage solutions. Our team of experts have direct experience in the design and installation of commercial and utility size projects. We have assisted clients in identifying and evaluating potential sites for wind and PV solar facilities. We have worked with host utilities to assess points of interconnection. This effort has revealed the feasibility of potential projects early in the process.
Training
Douglas Proctor has been teaching a Transmission Line Design course on behalf of the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee for several years. These courses have been provided to construction companies such as Kenny Construction and PECO (Philadelphia Electric Company) and are available upon request
